  • To all of you for a great start to the school year...It is hard to believe that over 1,200 people are in this building at the same time.

  • For your patience, I apologize for miscommuncation. At times I am told information and then it is changed after I pass it along to you.

  • 8th Grade's goals are to continue the mentoring program.

  • Picture day is Friday, September 4th

  • September's monthly focus is on Manners and Respect

  • We will meet in the auditorium with TAs for a beginning of the year PowerPoint. Starfish = Sept. 8; Eagle=Sept. 9; Dolphin=Sept. 10

  • Please let students know that a $3 fine will be assessed to those who peel off the safety stickers from their lockers.

  • Mr. Kowalski has reserved computer labs for Sept. 14, 15, and 16 to have 8th graders complete technology surveys.

  • Jeremy Johnson has lab 410 reserved for the entire year during periods 7 and 8. This is the only lab loaded with the software he needs to teach his class.

  • Students that have IEPs have a flag that documents this next to their name in Infinite Campus

  • Update your lesson plans! Let me know if you want to learn how to post these on the web. I have a Word document with instructions. Parents look for lesson plans on our website and appreciate them being available.

  • Let Mrs. Etmund know if you are interested in the Leadership or PBIS conferences in October.

  • Roots and Stems begins Sept. 8th with Aero
  • Let Mrs. Eliopolous know if you are interested in a Quiz Star account by September 9th

  • 209 of 329 8th graders started the 2009-2010 school year with a GPA 3.0 or higher.
  • 31 of 329 8th graders started the year with a GPA below 2.0
