Information

• The Aimsweb window for 8th grade is tentatively scheduled as Sept. 21-Sept. 30; tentatively because some of you have plans to assess earlier, please let me know asap if you are doing this so I can adjust accordingly. We have 10 school days from the first Aimsweb presented to complete all assessments
• Parents can use our web page to pay for lunch
• Staff meeting at 8:05 in Commons Friday, Sept. 11

Reminders

• Cara Scheuller is at the middle school on Tuesdays in the 6/7 office at ext. 2218
• Update your lesson plans! Let me know if you want to learn how to post these on the web. I have a Word document with instructions. Parents look for lesson plans on our website and appreciate them being available.
• Wash your hands and remind students to do the same, the peak of H1N1 is predicted to be October
• Check the Outlook calendar for important happenings; send Brenda dates and times of upcoming events
• 8th Grade's goals are to continue the mentoring program. Begin looking for students who would make good mentors.

The target level for 8th grade students taking the Aimsweb:

• (R-CBM) or reading fluency is 133 for fall
• (MAZE) or comprehension is 19 for fall
