Appreciations

Information
  • Cara Schueller will be at CFMS on Tuesdays to help with technology. She will in the 6/7th grade office (Ext. 2218)

  • Please put your absences on Skyward/Aesop

  • All para-professionals and IA's are to remain in the building for breaks and lunches as they are paid for these in case of student situations

  • H1N1 is to peak in October. Coughing and a fever are the initial signs

  • UA rotation dates have been adjusted. Mrs. Etmund emailed a revised list of dates.

  • Inform Mrs. Etmund asap if you want to attend the Leadership or PBIS conferences in October

  • The special education referral process is being revised in the district, taking more of a RtI approach. Be sure to document interventions with students and track data on each intervention.

  • In-school will have a bit of a new format. Those who supervise will be given more specific information. Students will now be required to complete a reflection form and work on restitution by either writing an apology or apologizing in person to the staff involved. A half-sheet will be brought around by student helpers to collect work from teachers for students serving time in ISS.
Reminders

  • Administration needs 8th grade goals!!

  • Please sign out when you leave the building

  • All lesson plans should be saved to the I: drive

  • Submit all calendar events that you want placed on the Outlook calendar to Brenda

  • Be sure to have students work on goals during TA prior to Back to School Night

  • 61% of people claim chocolate puts them in a better mood!! It's true look....http://www.diet-blog.com/archives/2007/10/04/chocolate_the_new_antidepressant.php There will chocolate in the Packer bucket in my office!! Please feel free to stop by when a fix is needed or desired..I was given explicit directions to keep it full!!
  • At this point there are 12 new 8th grade students to CFMS
  • The Chi-Hi football team is 1-0 after beating Holmen 36-26 at Holmen on Friday night

Start of the School Year Information

August/September

The following format will be followed over the course of the school year. I will update the post every Thursday after school and email the link when finished.

Appreciations


  • Custodial staff! Please thank them for their work over the summer.
  • Meeting AYP! Congratulations on improving test scores and meeting DPI's requirements.

Information

  • Most of what you need right now has been mailed to you. Other information has been shared via email.
  • A Checklist for Teachers will be passed out during our workday meetings. Please review it.

Next Week

  • Tues. Aug. 25: Teacher workday; starting with an all-staff breakfast at 8 am in the HS cafeteria.
  • Wed. Aug. 26: Teacher workday; starting with coffee, etc. in the MS Commons
  • Thur. Aug. 27: Teacher workday

Two Weeks

  • Mon. Sept. 1: School opens; Breakfast begins
  • Fri. Sept. 4: Picture day

Reminders

  • Please continue to check the Outlook calendar. Submit events to Brenda so she can post them on the calendar during the school year.
  • During the school year this will include information that has already been shared or refreshers/things to be mindful of.
